The VAM vision…

Over the past three years Visalia has increasingly become the Central California stop for numerous nationwide touring music performers. Geographically, Visalia's prime geographic location (between San Francisco and Los Angeles), coupled with talented local promoters, has made the town a desirable stop on the California concert tour route. Concert venues like The Fox Theatre and The Cellar Door are experiencing a boom in audience sizes. This enthusiasm from the community and surrounding cities has stimulated Visalia’s economy, and contributed to the vision of making Visalia a small town with a metropolitan feel.

The Downtown Visalians & Alliance sees the Visalia’s All Music Weekend (VAM) as an annual opportunity to celebrate Visalia’s growing music community, showcasing both local talent and nationwide touring performers. Music will fill numerous downtown restaurants, concert venues, and the streets on the first weekend of October 2008.

VAM plans to continually increase the size of the annual event, as well as help facilitate a large number of Visalia music events throughout the year.
